Since becoming a parent, have you found yourself doing more laundry than you ever thought possible? Here are a few of Kelly's favorite laundry hacks for making this chore cheaper, easier, and safer for baby.
1) Dryer Balls
Ditch those fragrance-filled dryer sheets that may irritate baby's sensitive skin in favor of eco-friendly dryer balls. They're reusable, and they make your laundry dry faster too! Kelly found her favorite dryer balls at Grove Collaborative.
2) Mesh Laundry Bags
Tired of digging around the laundry for those tiny baby pieces? Keep them all together with a mesh laundry bag. Kelly loves washing her toddler's Cabooties in these bags because it keeps them all together, and she can easily pop them all out of the wash and let them air dry when she moves the rest of the load to the washer.
3) Vinegar
It's simple, and it's cheap, but vinegar is hands-down Kelly's favorite laundry product. Kelly likes to put vinegar in the fabric softener spot in her washing machine in place of the traditional heavyily-fragranced stuff. It keeps your washing machine cleaner than fabric softener, helps to fight stains, neutralizes odors, and so much more.
4) Purchase easy-to-launder items
Let's be real. Babies and toddlers are messy. Like really messy. Try to purchase clothes for your little ones that are made from materials that wash up easily. Kelly designed Cabooties baby shoes so that they're extra easy to care for. Just toss them in the wash with the rest of you baby's clothes, lay them flat to dry, and then get ready to head out on another adventure with your little one.
